Rich Wiklund CEO. Wiklund conceived of BenefitsApp in 2017 working with leading benefits administrators as CEO of AtlanticMobileApps LLC, and validated the market in 2018. He formed HealthBenefitApp LLC with two partners in 2019, and launched the BenefitsApp product in 2020. Wiklund serves as the Managing Partner and CIO, and is responsible for the product and operational delivery of BenefitsApp from client to distribution via Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Wiklund also maintains his current position as Managing Partner of AvideonCRM LLC, a certified Salesforce.com partner serving clients from New England to Florida. Wiklund brings 30 years of entrepreneurial and business experience to BenefitsApp. As a Saleforce.com/Pardot expert, Wiklund developed the BenefitsApp platform on the Salesforce.com platform and is responsible for all aspects of the business, the platform, emerging BenefitsApp ecosystem of partners and sales. Wiklund serves on the non-profit boards of Maryland Family Network and the Pride of Baltimore. He lives in Baltimore with is wife Joanne, and has three grown children Maddie, Richard and Elizabeth who all live in the Baltimore area.
Jonathan Anders. Member. As a founding member of BenefitsApp, Jonathan brings industry expertise, a strong network of contacts and significant sales and management expertise to the business. Jonathan lends his 30 years of entrepreneurial and business experience to BenefitsApp. In his role as co-founder of Basswood Investment Group, LLC, Anders harnessed his proficiency in accounting, business startup, acquisition and scaled growth in the small business, construction, hospitality and healthcare consulting industries. In his venture as Chairman of WorkforceTactix, Inc., he developed a strong leadership team while simultaneously guiding legislative initiatives for the industry at large. Anders has been published in industry trade publications, served as Co-Chair on committees for the development of the Maryland Healthcare Exchange, as well as Chair of the Joint Legislative Committee for two state industry associations. This experience solidified the importance of building a culture-driven company, taking calculated risk, providing strong professional management and facilitating employee collaboration – aspects that are paramount to growth and value maximization. Originally from Baltimore, Jonathan and his wife, Kelli, live on the Eastern Shore of Maryland with their son, William.
Christopher Swam. Member. As a founding member of BenefitsApp, Chris brings industry expertise and significant financial management expertise to the business. In his role of founding member of Basswood Investment Group, LLC, Chris has over 26 years of experience with entrepreneurial company building, investing, executive leadership, M&A and successful exit strategies. He has held various executive and financial leadership positions in the insurance, healthcare and manufacturing industries. Prior to joining Basswood Investment Group, Chris served as Chief Executive Officer for WorkforceTactix, Inc. where he was responsible for WorkforceTactix’s growth, long term strategy and successful exit. Prior to becoming WorkforceTactix’s CEO, Chris served as Chief Financial Officer for two privately held, Maryland based organizations. Chris is a graduate of Loyola University Maryland having earned his MBA from the Sellinger School of Business with a concentration in Finance along with a BA in Accounting. He has actively served on several boards for various local organizations over the past 15 years. Chris and his wife, Liz, currently reside in Glen Arm, Maryland with their two children, Jack and Nicole.
Alfred R. Berkeley. Advisor. Al is Chairman, Princeton Capital Management, a registered investment adviser, Vice Chairman, Gentag, Inc. and a director of RealPage, Inc. [NASDAQ: RP]. Al served as the President (and later Vice Chairman) of The NASDAQ Stock Market, Chairman, Pipeline Trading Systems LLC; prior to that he was a Managing Director of Alex. Brown & Sons, an investment bank. Al holds a B.A. from the University of Virginia and his MBA from Wharton
Nancy McCarthy. Vice President, Operations. As BenefitsApp’s Vice President of Operations, Nancy manages all customer service and production. Nancy manages our Baltimore-based staff and off-shore production team in the Philippines. She brings strong financial and operational industry expertise with over 25 years of marketing and business management experience. She began her career as a financial analyst and staff Accountant for Pepsi Cola, Inc and Price Waterhouse, then moved on to executive leadership roles in Marketing for Black & Decker, and Danaher Tool Group where she managed their $100 million tool business for industrial channels, and developed and coordinated divisional strategic plans that increased sales from $20 million to $50 million. More recently Nancy has served as an Adjunct Professor of Marketing, University of Maryland University College, and as owner of Korea Homeland Journey, LLC, where she planned and led trips to South Korea for adoptive families to learn about Korean culture, history and adoption.
